TOTO
When: Saturday 19th - Friday 25th June 2027 (multiple UK dates)
In January 1977, Toto's founding line-up met at Davlen Studios in North Hollywood to record the demos that became their debut album. Half a century on, they mark the anniversary with five UK arena dates, from Glasgow’s OVO Hydro to OVO Arena Wembley, with Todd Rundgren, the producer behind Meat Loaf’s Bat Out of Hell (1977), joining as a very special guest.
Before the hits, Toto were among the most in-demand session players in Los Angeles, and Steve Lukather, who leads the current line-up alongside singer Joseph Williams, played guitar on Michael Jackson’s "Beat It". The band’s own breakthrough peaked with Toto IV (1982), which won six Grammys, including Album of the Year and Record of the Year for "Rosanna", while "Africa" reached No. 3 in the UK in 1983.
That song has since become one of the internet’s favourite soft-rock singalongs, and more than half of Toto’s billion annual streams come from listeners aged 34 or younger. A good share of these arena crowds will be younger than "Africa" itself.
JACK JOHNSON
When: Sunday 4th July 2027 (The O2 arena, London)
Before the songs, there were the surf films. Jack Johnson was making surf movies long before three of his albums, In Between Dreams, Sleep Through the Static and To the Sea, went to No. 1 in the UK, and his SURFILMUSIC Tour takes its name from a documentary about exactly that journey, built from early surf footage, his personal archive and present-day reflection.
His only London date lands at The O2 arena as part of the venue’s 20th birthday celebrations. The film is about the friendships that shaped his music, and the bill reflects it: longtime friends Donavon Frankenreiter and G. Love perform together as a duo, with Ben Harper also joining the line-up.
ORBITAL
When: Tuesday 13th - Saturday 24th April 2027 (multiple UK dates)
Orbital have called their 11th album Other, and they mean it. Released on Friday 19th March 2027, the record from brothers Paul and Phil Hartnoll is about otherness: neurodiversity, identity, outsiders and the freedom to exist outside society’s prescribed categories. It moves through gothic folk, drum and bass, punk and ambient alongside the duo’s trademark electronics, and the first single "Mother, Maiden And Crone" draws on witchcraft and folklore, with séance-like vocals from actor Maxine Peake.
It follows Optical Delusion, which reached No. 6 in 2023 to become their first Top 10 album since The Middle of Nowhere in 1999, and the first official release of their much-celebrated 1994 Glastonbury set in 2026. Almost four decades after "Chime", a duo who never settled for the box marked "dance music" have made a record about everyone else who doesn’t fit the boxes, and The Other Tour carries it from Northampton’s Roadmender to British Airways ARC in London.
UB40 FEATURING ALI CAMPBELL
When: Sunday 18th July 2027 (Ludlow Castle)
UB40 took their name from the unemployment benefit form that was all too familiar in late-70s Birmingham, and went on to score three UK No. 1 singles: "Red Red Wine", "I Got You Babe" with Chrissie Hynde and "(I Can’t Help) Falling in Love with You". Ali Campbell, the voice on all three, now leads UB40 featuring Ali Campbell, the latest act announced for Live at Ludlow Castle 2027.
The rest of the bill makes a full day of reggae. David Rodigan has spent decades championing the genre on UK radio and sound systems; General Levy’s vocal on M-Beat’s "Incredible" took jungle into the UK Top 10 in 1994; and The Marley Experience complete the line-up. From sound-system culture and jungle to Birmingham chart reggae, it’s close to a potted history of reggae in Britain in a single afternoon.
CAFÉ DEL MUNDO
When: Tuesday 6th - Sunday 11th April 2027 (multiple UK dates)
Café del Mundo are Jan Pascal and Alexander Kilian, two German guitarists who met at a workshop in 2007 and have since built a catalogue of more than ten albums blending flamenco, classical, jazz and pop. Their latest, Guitarize The World, arrived in October 2026, the same month they were named Tour of the Year at Germany’s Opus Klassik awards. Their UK tour visits concert halls in Manchester, Edinburgh, Gateshead, Birmingham, Cardiff and London.
The pair are often described as “fire and water”, and their backgrounds reflect that contrast. Pascal received his first guitar from his grandfather in Spain and found his sound on the flamenco guitar after setting up his own recording studio at 20. Kilian won his first international competition at 15 with a piece by Paco de Lucía, before earning a diploma in jazz guitar, an instrument he hasn’t played since. His stated aim is to take the guitar “out of the niche”. Their UK dates offer a chance to hear that approach in concert halls across the country.
