HEAR’SAY / LIBERTY X

Hear’Say and Liberty X press shot

When: Tuesday 20th April - Wednesday 12th May 2027 (multiple UK dates)

Hear’Say and Liberty X reunite for Popstars: The Originals, an arena tour in April and May 2027, marking 25 years since the ITV talent show launched both groups. The tour runs from Bournemouth’s BIC to Sheffield’s Utilita Arena, with The O2 arena and Glasgow’s OVO Hydro along the way. Hear’Say return with four original members, while Liberty X reunite with their complete five-piece line-up.

After winning Popstars, Hear’Say went straight to No. 1 with debut single “Pure and Simple”. Their follow-up “The Way to Your Love” also topped the charts, along with their debut album, Popstars (2001). Yet their success wasn’t without controversy: the group famously appeared on the cover of NME beneath the headline “The band that killed pop?” In the years that followed, reality-TV talent shows became a major force in British pop, with runners-up Liberty X proving they had plenty of staying power, too. They scored a No. 1 with “Just a Little” in 2002, followed by top 10 hits including “Thinking It Over” and “Got to Have Your Love”. Now, 25 years after Popstars, the two groups are joining forces for their first-ever performances together.

SLEEPER

Sleeper press shot

When: Friday 12th March - Saturday 3rd April 2027 (multiple UK dates)

Sleeper head out on the End of the World Tour in March and April 2027, a ten-date run from Nottingham’s Rock City to Birmingham’s O2 Institute, with stops at Glasgow’s Barrowland and London’s Roundhouse. Billed as their biggest UK tour since reforming, it follows their sixth album End of the World, due on Friday 12th February 2027. Turin Brakes, whose 2001 debut The Optimist LP was shortlisted for the Mercury Prize, join them as special guests on every date.

Fronted by Louise Wener, Sleeper were one of the defining guitar bands of the Britpop era. Albums Smart (1995) and The It Girl (1996) both reached No. 5, while singles including “Inbetweener”, “Sale of the Century” and “Nice Guy Eddie” became some of their best-known songs. The band split in 1998 before reuniting in 2017, releasing The Modern Age in 2019, their first album in more than 20 years. Produced by Joe Cross, their forthcoming record explores grief, regret and heartbreak through deeply personal songs. As Wener explains, “There’s something wonderful about finally playing them in a room with people and making that emotional connection with a crowd.”

HERB ALPERT & THE TIJUANA BRASS

Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass press shot

When: Thursday 6th - Thursday 13th May 2027 (multiple UK dates)

Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass return to the UK for their first tour in more than 50 years in May 2027. The six-date run visits concert halls in Gateshead, Glasgow, Liverpool, Bristol and Birmingham before closing at London’s Royal Albert Hall. The band reunited in 2025 for the first time in over 40 years and have since played more than 70 shows across North America, including Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium and a return to the Hollywood Bowl.

Alpert first broke through with “The Lonely Bull” in 1962, before Whipped Cream & Other Delights topped the US album chart in 1965. The record helped establish The Tijuana Brass as one of the era’s biggest acts, while “Spanish Flea” became another international hit. Alpert went on to achieve the rare feat of topping the US singles chart as both a vocalist, with “This Guy’s in Love with You”, and an instrumentalist, with “Rise”. Away from performing, he co-founded A&M Records with Jerry Moss, helping launch the careers of artists including The Carpenters, The Police and Janet Jackson. Still recording at 91, Alpert released his 50th studio album, 50, in 2024, with his UK return bringing another chapter to a career spanning more than six decades.

SPIRITUALIZED

Spiritualized press shot

When: Friday 2nd - Tuesday 6th April 2027 (multiple UK dates)

Spiritualized mark 20 years since their first acoustic performances with Acoustic Mainlines, a series of rare UK shows in April 2027. J Spaceman will be joined by a string quartet, gospel singers and long-time Spiritualized guitarist Tony “Doggen” Foster, performing songs from the Spiritualized and Spacemen 3 catalogues alongside cover versions.

The shows grew out of an appearance at a Daniel Johnston show at London’s Barbican, where Spaceman and Foster performed a handful of Johnston’s songs. Recovering from serious illness while making 2008’s Songs in A&E, Spaceman described the performance as “a gentle way of getting back on stage”. The strings and gospel choir soon followed, shaping the Acoustic Mainlines shows that came next. It’s a more stripped-back setting for music associated with Spiritualized’s expansive sound, with the gospel voices that run through the band’s records finding a natural home in venues such as London’s Union Chapel.

CHESNEY HAWKES

Chesney Hawkes press shot

When: Thursday 18th March - Thursday 22nd April 2027 (multiple UK dates)

Chesney Hawkes returns to the road in March and April 2027 for a UK headline tour spanning theatres and arts centres, with dates in Axminster, Pocklington and Hexham alongside Bristol and Cardiff. It follows his 2025 album Living Arrows, whose singles “Get A Hold of Yourself”, “Live Forever” and “Loud” landed on BBC Radio 2’s A-list.

Hawkes was 19 when “The One and Only” spent five weeks at No. 1 in 1991. Written by Nik Kershaw, the song featured in the film Buddy’s Song, in which Hawkes starred alongside Roger Daltrey. More than three decades later, Kershaw remains a songwriting collaborator, co-writing several tracks on Living Arrows. Produced by Jake Gosling, whose credits include Ed Sheeran and One Direction, the album explores heartache, gratitude and mental health, offering a more personal side of the singer best known for one of the defining hits of the early ’90s.
