Where Sam’s At Now
Sam Fender heads into these shows following the most successful run of his career to date. His 2025 album People Watching became his third consecutive UK No. 1, before taking home the prestigious 2025 Mercury Prize. He continued his winning streak into 2026, adding two more BRIT Awards to his collection, bringing his total to five, alongside the Ivor Novello Award for Songwriter of the Year.

Weeks at No. 1
“Rein Me In” with Olivia Dean is the longest-running No. 1 single in UK chart history.
What began as a standout moment at London Stadium quickly became one of the most important songs of Sam Fender’s career. Sam first performed “Rein Me In” alongside Olivia Dean on Friday 6th June 2025, in front of more than 80,000 fans, before the pair released the track as an official duet later that month. The collaboration went on to take on a life of its own, spending an incredible 23 non-consecutive weeks at No. 1 in 2026 and winning Song of the Year at the BRIT Awards, securing its place as one of the defining musical moments of the year and a cornerstone in Sam's decorated career.
What comes next is a hotly anticipated fourth album, building on the legacy of Sam's previous three chart-topping records. Pre-orders are open now, though the title and release date haven’t been announced yet. We’ll update this guide as soon as they are.
The Story So Far
Sam is famously a very proud Geordie – he grew up in North Shields, and his songs have never strayed far from it. Here’s how he got from there to Wembley.
2019
Hypersonic Missiles goes straight to No. 1, the same year he wins the BRITs Critics’ Choice award.
2021
Seventeen Going Under gives him a second No. 1 album.
2023
Two sold-out homecoming nights at St. James’ Park, in front of 100,000 people.
2025
People Watching tops the chart and wins the Mercury Prize. “Rein Me In” debuts at London Stadium.
2027
His largest headline shows yet, including two nights at Wembley.
Key Releases
Essential Sam Fender Songs
Brushing up before the show? Start with these.
“Rein Me In” — the record-breaking duet with Olivia Dean, originally from People Watching.
“Seventeen Going Under” — the Ivor Novello-winning title track from his second album, and one of the big singalongs of any Sam Fender show.
“Hypersonic Missiles” — the title track from his 2019 debut, and a live favourite.
“People Watching” — the title track of his third album.
“Spit of You” — a song about his relationship with his dad, from Seventeen Going Under.
“Will We Talk?” — a short, fast blast of indie rock from Hypersonic Missiles.
Sam Fender Live: What to Expect
Sam’s powerful live vocals and enticing guitar playing are perfect for the electric atmosphere of stadiums. Expect a full band, Johnny “Blue Hat” Davis’s saxophone cutting through the choruses, giving the shows a Springsteen-esque lift with Sam's own twist, and a crowd that sings every word back, from the slow build of “Seventeen Going Under” to the shout-along chorus of “Hypersonic Missiles”. Between songs, Sam keeps things chatty and down to earth, and the quieter moments hit just as hard as the loud ones.
A setlist for 2027 hasn’t been confirmed, and with a fourth album on the way, new songs are likely. We’ll add stage times and setlist details here closer to the shows.
