Turning away from punk for a more mature sound; songwriter Wunderhorse is the young songwriter rising to the fore, grabbing widespread attention.

Newquay-based Jacob Slater had been playing with raucous band Dead Pretties before moving to the coast in search of a more serene life. The slower pace of life brought about a change in his tastes, and a more mature sound began to develop, leading to thoughtful songs enthused with  blues / indie rock sensibilities.

Now working under the moniker Wunderhorse; Slater would tour with Sam Fender, Foals and Fontaines D.C and release debut album Cub.
