THE TESKEY BROTHERS
When: Friday 1st October 2027 (AO Arena, Manchester)
The Teskey Brothers head to Manchester’s AO Arena in October 2027 on what will be their biggest headline tour to date, a 15-date European run on which Manchester is the first UK stop, with fellow Australians Ocean Alley as special guests. Melbourne brothers Josh and Sam Teskey built their sound on 1960s soul and blues, and have carried on as a duo since rhythm section Brendon Love and Liam Gough departed at the end of 2022.
The Winding Way, their first album after the split, went to No. 1 in Australia in 2023, and in 2026 they celebrated their debut, Half Mile Harvest, with anniversary shows in Sydney and Melbourne. A new album is due in 2027, and going back to “just the two of us”, as the band put it at the time, clearly hasn’t slowed them down.
JOY CROOKES
When: Thursday 10th December 2026 (Union Chapel, London)
Joy Crookes reimagines her songs for one night only at Islington’s Union Chapel in December 2026, headlining War Child UK’s annual winter show as the charity’s Music Ambassador. The stripped-back set brings in Hammond organ, upright bass, cello, sitar and a small choir, with surprise guests through the night and a first chance to hear brand-new, unreleased songs. Proceeds support War Child’s work with children affected by conflict.
Raised in Elephant and Castle, she was nominated for the Mercury Prize for 2021 debut Skin, a UK No. 5. Second album Juniper followed in 2025, with Vince Staples and Kano among the guests. Her 2026 single “Painkiller”, with Denzel Curry, began life as a voice note about a relationship she’d rather forget; in her words, “at least I got a nice tune out of it”. A sitar and a choir in a Victorian chapel should give those songs a setting they’ve never had on record.
THE SISTERS OF MERCY
When: Friday 17th & Saturday 18th September 2027 (Roundhouse, London)
The Sisters of Mercy return to Camden’s Roundhouse for two nights in September 2027, with a cinematic light show and a set promising hits, deep cuts and new material. Formed in Leeds in 1980 and named after a Leonard Cohen song, Andrew Eldritch’s band took cues from Bowie and The Velvet Underground but always sounded closer to The Stooges, Motörhead and Suicide, driven by the pummel of their long-serving drum machine, Doktor Avalanche.
1987’s Floodland was the breakthrough, home to “Dominion”, “Lucretia My Reflection” and the near 11-minute “This Corrosion”. There hasn’t been an album since 1990’s Vision Thing: Eldritch soured on the record industry in the 1990s and turned his attention to playing live, debuting a steady run of new songs on stage rather than on record. More than three decades on from their last album, the stage is still the only place The Sisters of Mercy release new songs.
SUICIDE SILENCE
When: Tuesday 27th April - Sunday 2nd May 2027 (multiple UK dates)
Californian deathcore band Suicide Silence bring the “Cursed Since Birth” Tour to the UK in spring 2027, part of a 26-date European run from Berlin to Madrid. The UK dates start at Southampton’s The 1865 and finish at Electric Bristol, via Nottingham, Manchester and London. Italian symphonic death metal band Fleshgod Apocalypse join them, with Australia’s To The Grave and The Gloom In The Corner completing a four-band bill.
The band helped shape deathcore with 2007 debut The Cleansing and carried on after original frontman Mitch Lucker’s death in 2012, with Eddie Hermida taking over the following year. After trying clean, nu-metal-style vocals on 2017’s self-titled album, they’ve steered back towards their heavier roots, and the tour takes its name from a track on eighth album Graceless, out on Friday 20th November 2026. Guitarist Chris Garza says the goal was to “just get out of the way and serve that band logo”, which sounds like a promise to everyone wearing that logo on a T-shirt.
COURTEENERS
When: Friday 16th July 2027 (Ludlow Castle)
Courteeners headline Live at Ludlow Castle in July 2027, joining a summer series that drew 50,000 people to the Shropshire castle across two weekends in 2026. The Coral, the Merseyside band behind “Dreaming of You” and 2026’s 388, their 13th album, are special guests. The Guest List, who built a following with covers filmed in their garage, complete the bill.
It rounds off a 20th anniversary for Liam Fray’s band that brought God Bless the Band, their first best-of, to No. 2 in August 2026, along with a sold-out homecoming at Manchester’s Wythenshawe Park. Their story has an unusually long tail: 2008 debut St. Jude reached No. 1 in January 2023, almost 15 years after its release, setting a record for the longest gap between an album’s release and reaching the top of the UK chart. For a debut that took that long to reach No. 1, an 11th-century castle feels about right.
