White Lies, Cheese & Grain, Frome - 11th July 2019

White Lies are so much more powerful live. I think their recordings are perhaps a little over produced now I’ve heard them live. And their back catalogue is packed with easy to sing-along greats - even if you haven’t heard them before. To see them at such a small venue was a real treat.

White Lies are a superb Post Punk band from Ealing, London. Formerly known as Fear of Flying, the band centres around drummer Jack Lawrence-Brown, guitarist Harry McVeigh who is responsible for lead vocals and backing vocals from Charles Cave also on bass.

With the release of their fifth studio album, appropriately titled Five, White Lies have announced a tour which sees them play Blenheim Palace at Woodstock in June and Cheese & Grain at Frome during July.
They now also let their fans know they will play two nights at O2 Academy Brixton in London during December 2019.

We are incredible excited to be able to offer you White Lies tickets, but we must also make you aware that the demand is sky high so you will have to book yours before they are all snatched up. Fortunately, placing an order for your favourite gig tickets is made easy with Gigantic as you can access our site from the comfort of your home or whilst busy and on the go using a computer, smartphone or tablet.

The trio formed the band as teens and originally worked under the title Fear Of Flying. Achieving quite some success, they released two double a-side singles Routemaster/Round Three and Three’s A Crowd/Forget-Me-Nots through independent label Young And Lost Club. They also played support slots for the likes of Laura Marling, Jamie T and The Maccabees.

However, Cave began to feel they had outgrown their previous work and wanted to push in a new, darker, direction. As the name was no longer fit for purpose they adopted a new moniker and in 2007 made a declaration on Myspace: “ Fear of Flying is DEAD ... White Lies is alive!”.

After gigging heavily they were invited to perform on top BBC music telly program Later… With Jools Holland. The prominent display of their talent succeeded in widening their audience just before they entered the studio to record their debut album.

To Lose My Life Or Lose My Love (commonly shortened to just To Lose My Life…) was released in January of 2009 and earned White Lies a place on the ShockWaves NME Awards Tour.

They have subsequently released the records Ritual in 2011, Big TV during 2013 and Friends in 2016. White Lies have recently announced that their next album will be titled Five.

As there are limits on the amounts of Mothers concert tickets being made available, you will have to act fast and ensure you book yours before they are all snatched up. Gigantic offers you excellent customer service when selecting from our huge range of essential gig tickets, so you know we are the right place to come whenever you are planning for your big night.
