The biggest UK tours & live shows on sale this week
SAXON
When: Saturday 13th - Saturday 27th February 2027 (multiple UK dates)
Saxon are heading back on the road with the first UK dates of their Gods of Thunder World Tour, reinforcing their status as one of British heavy metal's most enduring forces.
The announcement comes ahead of the band's forthcoming 25th studio album, due in early 2027, but the headline attraction is the return of Saxon's legendary Eagle stage set. First introduced during the band's arena tours in the early 1980s, the 30-foot mechanised Eagle became one of heavy metal's most enduring symbols and remains closely associated with the band's live legacy.
Reviving both the Eagle and the celebrated Castles & Eagles production, these dates revisit a defining era of Saxon's career while underlining their continued status as one of British metal's great survivors.
Please note that due to venue height, the Eagle will not be flying on the Cardiff date.
BLACK COUNTRY, NEW ROAD
When: Friday 13th November 2026 (London Coliseum)
Few British bands have embraced reinvention as readily as Black Country, New Road, and this special London Coliseum performance marks another unexpected step.
Presented in collaboration with the Orchestra of English National Opera (ENO) and conducted by André de Ridder, the concert will feature newly commissioned orchestral arrangements of material from the band's acclaimed third album, Forever Howlong. Released in April 2025, the record marked a bold new chapter for the group, expanding their sound through shared songwriting, chamber-pop flourishes and adventurous arrangements.
With contributions from composers including Owen Pallett (Arcade Fire) and the full Orchestra of ENO, this one-off performance offers a chance to hear new dimensions within one of contemporary music's most inventive catalogues.
THE SNUTS
When: Thursday 26th November - Thursday 10th December 2026 (multiple UK dates)
The Snuts return this winter with the Joy In Short Moments Tour, supporting a fourth album that finds the Scottish indie favourites entering a more reflective phase.
Since breaking through with 2021's chart-topping W.L., the band have established themselves as one of the UK's most consistent modern success stories, following it with two further Top 3 albums and headline tours across Europe, North America and Australia. Their latest record, Joy In Short Moments, was shaped by a period of major personal change for frontman Jack Cochrane, who began writing after stepping away from the constant momentum of touring life.
Led by the euphoric new single "Defibrillator", the album explores identity, parenthood and finding meaning in everyday moments while retaining the soaring hooks that have defined The Snuts' rise.
Support comes from the dynamic indie-rock four-piece The Kairos.
MIKE JOYCE & STEPHEN STREET
When: Thursday 1st October - Saturday 5th December 2026 (multiple UK dates)
Forty years after the release of The Queen Is Dead, The Smiths drummer Mike Joyce and acclaimed producer Stephen Street are heading out on The Queen Is Dead 40th Anniversary Tour, celebrating one of British music's most influential albums.
Regularly cited among the greatest records ever made, The Queen Is Dead remains a defining work of alternative music, shaping generations of artists long after its original release in 1986. This anniversary tour offers a rare opportunity to hear directly from two of the figures behind the album, exploring its creation song by song through stories, studio memories and behind-the-scenes insights.
Alongside archive footage, audience Q&As and memorabilia, the tour promises a deeper look at the recording process that helped produce tracks such as "There Is A Light That Never Goes Out", "Bigmouth Strikes Again" and the title track. For longtime Smiths fans, it's a chance to revisit a landmark album with two of the people who helped bring it to life.
JOSIE LONG & ROBIN INCE
When: Saturday 7th - Sunday 22nd November 2026 (multiple UK dates)
After two decades of friendship, collaboration and creative mischief, Josie Long and Robin Ince are coming together for a special run of shows celebrating 20 years of making audiences laugh, think and occasionally lose track of where the conversation was heading.
Few performers embody curiosity quite like Long and Ince. Across stand-up, broadcasting, writing and live events, both have built devoted followings through their ability to blend humour with big ideas, finding unexpected connections between everyday life, science, politics and culture.
Appropriately titled 20 Years of Shambles, the tour promises an evening of stand-up, poetry, conversation and spontaneous digressions, reflecting the spirit of a partnership that has never been easy to categorise. Part celebration, part retrospective and part unpredictable experiment, these shows offer a chance to spend an evening in the company of two of British comedy's most distinctive voices.
