Mogwai consistently prove to be one of the world’s most inventive and awe inspiring bands. Leaders of the Post-Rock movement, each new record release is celebrated as a significant event in the history of contemporary music.

The band consists of drummer Martin Bulloch, vocals and guitar shared between Stuart Braithwaite, John Cummings and Barry Burns who also takes on synth duties plus Dominic Aitchison playing bass guitar.

They have just announced that they will play a tremendous headline performance at O2 Academy Brixton in London on Friday 15th of December.

Our stocks of Mogwai tickets are expected to sell fast. As you eagerly await their release at 09:00 on Friday 24th of March, you can set a personal reminder with Gigantic to alert you with a text message or email when they become available.

Mogwai formed in 1995 in Glasgow. After gigging for two years the band released their incredible debut album Mogwai Young Team. The exceptional skill developed considerably with the release of their next two albums Come On Die Young in 1999 followed by Rock Action in 2001. This saw them begin to become highly respected by the music press.

A massively significant step forward.... Rock Action is so monumentally magisterial, it approaches near heretical status: the post-post-rock era's Sgt. Pet Sounds' Lonely Hearts Club Band.” - Magnet

Now firmly established, Mogwai enjoyed critical and commercial success with the release of further records Happy Songs For Happy People, Mr Beast, The Hawk Is Howling and Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will.
Their latest album release is titled Rave Tapes and was released in 2014 to the sheer delight of the critics.

Mogwai, those consistent providers of dirge and delicate depression, have made an excellent follow up to 2011's Hardcore Will Never Die, on which they seem to be recalling a rave of sorts.” - The Guardian
