The Kooks are a Brighton-born indie-pop band who brought infectious melody and youthful charm to British guitar music. Formed in 2002, the group’s line-up includes Luke Pritchard (lead vocals, rhythm / lead guitar), Hugh Harris (lead guitar, backing vocals, keys, bass) and Alexis Nunez (drums). Blending jangly pop hooks with sharp songwriting and effortless cool, The Kooks quickly became one of the defining bands of mid-2000s indie.
Their debut album Inside In / Inside Out (2006) became a modern classic — certified five-times Platinum in the UK and home to hits such as “She Moves in Her Own Way” and “Naïve”. Follow-up Konk (2008) reached No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart, solidifying their reputation for sing-along choruses and timeless charm. With these records, The Kooks helped shape the soundtrack of a generation and continue to command loyal audiences worldwide with their irresistible blend of energy, melody and heart.
