My Chemical Romance – “The Foundations of Decay”

Grab your eyeliner, backcomb your hair and clutch your chest with the upmost morose passion because the Black Parade is back! That’s right, it’s time to rawr once again because emo’s greatest poster boys My Chemical Romance have just dropped a brand new single and re-awoken the moody teenage soul inside everyone.

Intensely epic, “The Foundations of Decay” is MCR’s first new material in almost eight years and takes a much darker path than we’ve ever heard Gerard Way and pals take before. Maybe the assumption that their fanbase has grown up and is therefore more mature might not be entirely true as all fans would love another over the top anthem. But the brand-new single does more than tug the heart strings of Myspace era nostalgia and this harder, nastier sound ushers in a new era of emo and reveals a bright future for your favourite go-to band when depressed.

My Chemical Romance play three nights at Stadium MK in Milton Keynes plus another at Victoria Park, Warrington – tickets on sale with Gigantic now!
