A brand-new weekend of music in the heartlands of Essex has just been announced: Hideaway Festival. Arriving at Hylands Park off Greenbury Way from Saturday 15th and Sunday of August, you can enjoy a truly impressive bill of world class performers topped by Tom Jones and Grace Jones – tickets on sale with Gigantic!

The Hideaway Stage will see the one and only Tom Jones become the very first headliner, with Beverley Knight and Sinead Harnett playing earlier in the day. On the Sunday, enigmatic icon Grace Jones will be proceeded by Macy Gray and Brooklyn Funk Essentials.

The Den Stage sees appearances from Caravan Palace, Ezra Collective, James Taylor Quartet and Kokoroko. The Retreat Stage will play host to Eric Bibb, The Blues Band, Big Daddy Wilson plus Maggie Bell & Dave Kelly.

The excitement carries on late into the night with special afterparties especially from campers featuring Norman Jay MBE, Gregg Edwards and Brandon Block!

In addition to the music, there are plenty of free activities for younger revellers to enjoy plus an onsite Old Time Funfair. A wide range of tasty treats can be found at the Food Village and festival goers can stay in style by choosing Glamping or staying in your own campervan.

Festival organiser Roy Trickett has been carefully planning the unmissable big weekender for some time, ensuring the quality of the performing artists, the activities on site and the family friendly camping facilities:

Hideaway Festival has been in the planning process for two years and I felt that there was a need and a gap in the market for Essex.

We’ve worked hard to create a festival that is friendly to all with a relaxing and entertaining vibe perfect for families. This is a labour of love that we can’t wait to show off this August.

Split between three stage areas, the Main Stage being more soulful, The Den Stage focusing on jazz and lastly the Retreat Stage focusing on blues - there’s truly a whole range to explore at Hideaway.

We are delighted that Tom Jones, Grace Jones, Macy Gray and Beverley Knight to name but a few will all be joining us for our inaugural weekend, bringing some incredible performances that I know we’ll be talking about for years to come. See you all there!

Tickets for Hideaway Festival are now available with Gigantic. Make sure you book yours now as there are only limited amounts on sale. Plus, take advantage of the payment plan which allows you to spread the cost of Hideaway Festival tickets through easy to manage monthly instalments.
