People Watching – Sam Fender

Release date: 21st February 2025

Singer-songwriter Sam Fender will release his third studio album this February - People Watching. The lead single from the record, also titled "People Watching" was released back in November 2024, and he will also support the release with a huge UK stadium tour.

The album will explore "colourful stories and observations of everyday characters living their everyday, but often extraordinary, lives" according to Fender. Drawing on his roots in the North East of England, the photograph on the album art features a photograph by Tish Murtha, a social documentary photographer who documented marginalised communities and working-class life in Newcastle upon Tyne.

The Right Person Will Stay – Lana Del Rey

Release date: 21st May 2025

In May 2025, Lana Del Rey will release her 10th studio album The Right Person Will Stay, confirmed back in November alongside the announcement of her UK & Ireland Stadium Tour. Originally called Lasso when Del Rey first mentioned the plans for a new album in September 2024, the album will be a country record influenced by her earlier songs "Ride" and "Video Games", and her covers of "Stand By Your Man" and "Take Me Home, Country Roads".

This change of genres indicate an entirely new direction for Lana Del Rey, who has previously been labelled an alt-pop artist. However, she hedged that the sound of the album will not be a "heavy departure" from her previous albums, but would be a "classic country, American, or Southern Gothic production".

Tickets for her stadium tour in 2025 are currently sold out, but you can join the waiting list via the link below to be the first to know if any more become available.

Tell Dem It’s Sunny – Greentea Peng

Release date: 21st March 2025

Late last year, artist Greentea Peng confirmed her upcoming 14-track album Tell Dem It's Sunny, due for release on 21st March 2025. Alongside it, she shared a new single titled "One Foot" and details of a spring UK and European tour.

The lead single from the album "TARDIS (hardest)" was an indication of what to expect from new Greentea Peng, and “draws inward, from global place-finding, to the raw primality of being human. The politics of self anchors this 14 song exploration.” This new album also sees Greentea Peng take on more of a hands-on and production role.

Greentea Peng's UK tour will stop off at Nottingham's Rock City on Friday 2nd May 2025. You can find tickets on the link below.

Blood Dynasty – Arch Enemy

Release date: 28th March 2025

Returning with their 12th studio album Blood Dynasty, Arch Enemy confirmed the new album will be released on 28th March 2025. Back in October, alongside the album announcement, the band released single "Liars & Thieves", the music video for which was composed of live footage from the first two weeks of their last live tour. Their upcoming European tour to promote the album was later confirmed in November 2024.

Founding band member and guitarist Michael Amott said of the new album: "This new album pushes the boundaries of what we've done before — it's everything you've come to expect from this band, and then some! We can't wait for you to hear it and feel the energy we've poured into every track."

Antibloom - Silverstein

Release date: 21st February 2025

Post-hardcore band Silverstein have announced their 11th album, Antibloom, as the first half of a double album. Antibloom is set for release in February, whereas its counterpart Pink Moon, will follow later in 2025. Alongside the album announcement, the band shared new music in the form of leaad single "Confession" back in October 2024.

Having produced 25 demos prior to recording the new album, Silverstein managed to reduce the selection down to 16 tracks, which drummer Paul Koehler suggested should be presented in the form of two eight track albums. As 2025 marks their 25th year as a band, they felt the scale of this double album would serve as a worthwhile celebration of their career so far. The band said: "We felt incredibly inspired, and put everything we've learned / felt / experienced into this double-album. They say it takes an artist their whole life to write their debut album, but with starting this band so young, it felt like it took 25 years to write Antibloom / Pink Moon — the absolute collection of our musical style and ideas we've pioneered over these years."

Silverstein will no doubt perform a selection of these new tracks alongside their greatest hits as they head out on the 25 Years Of Noise tour, hitting venues in London and Manchester in February and March. Tickets are on sale now.

Constellations for the Lonely – Doves

Release date: 14th February 2025

British rock band Doves will release Constellations for the Lonely - their upcoming sixth studio album - on 14th February 2025, and will promote the album with an accompanying tour in February and March. Their first release on new label EMI North, and their first record since comeback LP The Universal Want, the album has been self-described as "dark" by the band, and was written following the cancellation of their 2020 tour.

Guitarist and singer Jez Williams told the NME of the album: "We're living in pretty fucking horrible times, so we wanted to reflect that but give a little hope", and these themes are clear from the album's first two singles, "Renegade" and "Cold Dreaming".

Doves will perform live at Nottingham's Rock City in March 2025 - tickets are currently sold out, but you can join the waiting list below.

Eusexua – FKA Twigs

Release date: 24th January 2025

FKA Twigs is set to release her third studio album Eusexua on 24th January 2025, and will be her first studio album since Magdelene in 2019 (and her first full body of work since mixtape Caprisongs, released in 2022). FKA Twigs announced the album and titular lead single "Eusexua" back in September 2024.

Influenced by a new-found love for techno, Eusexua is claimed to bear the genre's "spirit" and is thematically "deep, but not sad". In an interview with British Vogue last year, FKA Twigs explained the meaning behind the made-up word as the "sensation of being so euphoric" that one could "transcend human form". Based on its lead single, and follow up single "Perfect Stranger", this LP appears to be unlike anything Twigs has released to date and is hotly anticipated this year.

The Bad Fire – Mogwai

Release date: 24th January 2025

Later this month, Scottish post-rock legends Mogwai will release their 11th studio LP entitled The Bad Fire. The album follows their 2021 release As The Love Continues, and already boasts two incredible singles: "God Gets You Back" and "Lion Rumpus".

Drawing on their personal struggles over the past four years, the band said: "After the high of putting out As the Love Continues, the following years were personally hard for us. We’ve dealt with a lot of loss and in Barry’s case a serious family illness with one of his daughters.

"Getting back together to write and record this record felt like a refuge and with John Congleton we feel that we’ve made something special. We often hear from people that our music has helped them get through hard times in their lives and for once I think it applies to us as well."
