Just awesome from support act to unbelievable audience participation when a fan got up and played the last four songs with the band.
Truly fantastic with the crowd invited onto the stage for the oncore.

Dropkick Murphys certainly give one hell of a show! The Celtic punk band hit the mainstream with their huge hit single Tessie and found even greater audiences with their Platinum selling track I’m Shipping Up To Boston which featured in the Academy Award winning film The Departed.

See them blast off the new year with a highly exciting UK tour which includes dates at O2 Academy Birmingham, O2 Academy Leeds, Manchester Academy and O2 Academy Brixton in London during April 2019.

Dropkick Murphys tickets will become available at 10:00 on Friday 10th of August. Set yourself a personal reminder with Gigantic to arrive via text message or email so you are ready for their release as tickets for this exciting event will sell very quickly.

Formed out of Quincy, Massachusetts, during 1996, they took their name from the infamous Dr. John ‘Dropkick’ Murphys alcohol rehab facility. From practicing in the basement of a friend’s barbershop, they were soon to hit the stage and became the support act when The Mighty Mighty Bosstones the following year.

They released debut album Do Or Die in 1998 followed by second album The Gang’s All Here the following year. The two records immediately established the band as the dominant musical force in their neighbourhood, but they still needed that hit to break them through into the mainstream.

After a turbulent time within the band they came through with a reworking of an old Boston Red Sox song; Tessie. Released in 2004 to coincide with the start of the Baseball season, the song was played at games and used in the film Fever Pitch. The success saw them draw an even greater audience which continues to grow.

Last year saw the release of their latest album 11 Short Stories of Pain & Glory, their first full length record since the release of Signed and Sealed in Blood during 2013.

11 Short Stories finds the band serving up pint after pint of a familiar brew--the heady blend of fist-pumping anthems, traditional Irish instrumentation, and scrappy, blue-collar grit that’s made them a household name--while using their distilled strengths to break fresh ground.” - Boston Globe
