Nick Mulvey is an English singer, songwriter, and musician celebrated for blending folk, jazz, and world music influences into a distinctive and captivating sound. Born in Cambridge, Mulvey initially gained attention as a founding member of the jazz group Portico Quartet, whose debut album Knee-deep in the North Sea earned a Mercury Prize nomination in 2008. His musical journey took a new turn in 2011 when he launched his solo career, releasing his debut EP The Trellis in 2012, followed by the critically acclaimed album Fever to the Form in 2013.
Mulvey’s debut solo album, First Mind (2014), earned widespread praise and a Mercury Prize nomination, solidifying his place in contemporary British music. His subsequent albums, Wake Up Now (2017) and New Mythology (2022), continued to showcase his evolving sound. In 2025, he released Dark Harvest, Pt. 1, which further explores his signature style of intricate guitar work and poetic lyrics. With over 587 million global streams, Mulvey’s music has resonated with audiences worldwide, and his sold-out tours, including a headline performance at London’s Koko, attest to his enduring appeal.
