Here are five of the biggest concert and tour announcements going on sale this week across the UK.
DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE
When: Wednesday 23rd - Saturday 26th September 2026 (The Prospect Building, Bristol & Troxy, London)
Death Cab For Cutie return to the UK with a series of highly anticipated live shows, alongside the announcement of their new album, I Built You A Tower and its reflective lead single “Riptides”.
Formed in 1997, the band have grown from cult college-radio favourites into one of the defining indie acts of the 21st century, with a catalogue spanning Transatlanticism (2003) to Plans (2005) and beyond. Their music has become synonymous with a generation of indie fans, combining emotional lyricism with instantly recognisable melodies.
Marking their first release on an independent label in over two decades, the upcoming album signals a return to the band’s roots, while these new tour dates offer fans the chance to experience both classic material and a new era of Death Cab For Cutie live.
TONY HADLEY
When: Saturday 7th November - Friday 4th December 2026 (multiple UK dates)
Tony Hadley, the unmistakable voice of Spandau Ballet, returns this winter with The Christmas Big Band Tour 2026, bringing a mix of classic swing, festive favourites and his own timeless hits to stages across the UK.
Following last year’s sold-out run, Hadley will be joined by the Fabulous TH Band and a full brass section, delivering performances inspired by artists such as Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett and Elvis Presley, alongside his own classics including “True”, “Gold” and “Through The Barricades”.
Expect a polished, feel-good live show combining big band energy with one of British pop’s most recognisable voices.
SISTER SLEDGE
When: Friday 17th July 2026 (Tamworth Castle Grounds)
Sister Sledge, featuring Kathy Sledge, bring their world-famous disco anthems to Tamworth in July 2026.
Best known for hits including “We Are Family” and “Lost in Music”, the group continue to deliver high-energy performances that celebrate their lasting influence on disco, soul and pop.
The show will also feature special guests, including Kenny Thomas and disco/soul trio Odyssey, alongside additional festival appearances at Let's Rock Southampton and Love Supreme Jazz Festival — making this a standout summer for Sister Sledge.
Expect an uplifting live show packed with classic tracks and feel-good energy.
THE WONDER STUFF & INSPIRAL CARPETS
When: Thursday 1st October - Tuesday 8th December 2026 (multiple UK dates)
The Wonder Stuff have announced an extensive UK tour for October and December 2026, celebrating the band’s 40th anniversary.
The 16-date run will see them perform across the UK, including major stops in Manchester, Glasgow, Cardiff and London’s O2 Academy Brixton on Tuesday 8th December 2026.
Joining as special guests, Inspiral Carpets were one of the defining bands of the late ’80s and early ’90s Madchester scene, known for tracks including “This Is How It Feels” and a run of UK Top 20 albums.
Bringing together two influential names in British alternative music, these shows are set to deliver a strong mix of nostalgia and live favourites.
JOSHUA IDEHEN
When: Tuesday 3rd - Monday 16th November 2026 (multiple UK dates)
Joshua Idehen and producer Ludvig Parment bring their debut album I Know You're Hurting, Everyone Is Hurting, Everyone Is Trying, You Have Got To Try to venues across the UK this November.
Blending spoken word, electronic production and jazz influences, Idehen has built a reputation as one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary UK music.
Known for his dynamic live performances and sharp, poetic lyricism, these upcoming shows offer a chance to experience his unique style in an intimate setting.
