Hayseed Dixie, Concorde 2, Brighton - 12th February 2018

First time seeing Hayseed Dixie Live. but was blown away by the experience. it was just one of those bands that watching on youtube/mp3 is ok. but seeing live is just so much more amazing.
The Showmanship was outstanding. the quality of the sound production was amazing. the venue was great. Drinks were reasonably priced.
Would i go again?? Oh Yes.. Already looking at booking tickets...

Jaw dropping musicians who can turn anything onto 'Rockgrass'. Funny, rousing, foot-stomping, yehawing, entertainment. I wouldn't hesitate to see them again!

Hayseed Dixie, Catrin Finch Centre, Wrexham - 18th July 2017

I can't fault Hayseed Dixie - their show was fantastic - 5 stars. Even though it seems like they've been on the road forever, they put in 110% and made you feel like it their was their one-and-only UK appearance. John is a great front-man - funny. Joe is just bonkers and Jake is a disarming, easy-going dude. No-one can fault their prowess musically. Tim is a talented Banjo player though I do miss Johnny Button. After years on the road, they're like a well oiled machine. I don't tire of their gags. If you haven't ever seen them live - DO IT!!!

Sadly, the same cannot be said for the venue - The Catrin Finch Centre. Yes, it was free off-road parking (a bonus) and the auditorium was the right-size. But man, was it hot. No air-con. And I think this reflected in the crowds participation. And then there was the bar (I use the word loosely). I've been in some establishments over the years but theirs had to be one of the most uninspiring "vanilla" affairs I've ever had the misfortune to order a drink from. I don't even think it was open after the gig - a place where, traditionally, the boys come out to have a drink with the punters after the show. What a let-down. I don't know who Catrin Finch is but she obviously doesn't endorse alcohol in any way. If I were her, I would have my name removed from the building. 2 stars.

Engaging, funny, clever, brilliant musicality, rock-and-grass, kiss-and-ac/dc, reggae-and-elviscostello, killing-drinking-cheating-hell raising show. Fantastic.
