ANDREA BOCELLI

When: Saturday 8th May 2027 (Principality Stadium, Cardiff)

Andrea Bocelli will play his first-ever headline concert in Wales next May, opening the inaugural Land of Song Festival at Cardiff's Principality Stadium. Accompanied by the Orchestra of Welsh National Opera and a massed choir, Bocelli will perform songs from his iconic 1997 album Romanza, which celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2027. With the stadium roof closed for full acoustics, organisers are billing it as the biggest operatic event ever to take place in Wales.

The new biennial festival celebrates Wales's world-famous singing tradition, with Côr World Choir following on the Sunday and bringing more than 20,000 choristers together in Cardiff.

GURRIERS

Gurriers press shot

When: Wednesday 30th September 2026 (The Bullingdon, Oxford)

Gurriers are marking the release of their second album with a newly announced Oxford outstore show — the perfect setting for an intimate record store performance. Nobody's Coming To Save You, the follow-up to 2024's Come And See, lands this September as the five-piece's first release for record label Play It Again Sam, produced by Mark Bowen of IDLES and Loren Humphrey (Geese, Cameron Winter). Of the title track, the band have said: "It's a song that feels hopeless on its first listen, but if you look at it more deeply it's a call to action. No one is going to rise up if everyone expects someone else to do it."

The Oxford date comes just days after the album's release and ahead of what the band are calling their biggest headline shows yet, an October run that also stops in Newcastle, Leeds, Norwich, Bristol, Birmingham and Brighton. It's a fitting next step for a band that's already sold out two tours across the UK, Ireland and Europe — including a landmark night at London's Scala — and pulled huge festival crowds at Glastonbury, Truck and Green Man.

FENNE LILY

Fenne Lily press shot

When: Thursday 10th - Sunday 13th December 2026 (Strange Brew, Bristol & The Lower Third, London)

Fenne Lily announces intimate shows to celebrate the release of her fourth album, Win Win, with a Bristol and London run designed to feel more like a party than a proper tour: a homecoming date at Strange Brew, Bristol, followed by a three-night stand at The Lower Third, London. "These shows are birthday parties for the record before we hit the road proper", she says. "This album was made by people playing live in a room and should be celebrated in the same way".

Written after Fenne moved from England to New York, Win Win traces heartbreak, loneliness and self-discovery across ten tracks and arrives in October 2026 as her first release for Nettwerk Music Group. The album has so far been previewed by singles "Uh Huh" and "Sleeping".

HAKEN

Haken press shot

When: Thursday 4th - Sunday 7th February 2027 (multiple UK dates)

Haken return with in a fever dream, their first new music since 2023's critically acclaimed Fauna, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the UK progressive alternative metal mainstays. The band have announced a seven-date UK and Ireland tour in support of the new EP, with four dates currently on sale through Gigantic Tickets, calling at Manchester, Bristol, Birmingham and London.

The EP marks a noticeably more direct chapter for the band, with production and mixing from George Lever (Loathe, Sleep Token) and bass contributions from Bryan Beller (Joe Satriani, The Aristocrats) and Adam "Nolly" Getgood (Periphery). Blabbermouth described it as "a brave step away from the expected and a strident consolidation" of the band's work to date.

TOM A. SMITH

When: Thursday 12th & Friday 13th November 2026 (Clwb Ifor Bach, Cardiff & The Sugarmill, Stoke-on-Trent)

Tom A. Smith has announced two intimate UK shows for November, coinciding with the arrival of the deluxe edition of his second EP, Put On A Record Tommy. The deluxe EP adds three new tracks — an original song, a cover of one of his favourites and an extended version of the title track — with three more set to follow in September. "Because you are lucky, I'll add another three in September", he said of the rollout.

The original EP, released via Fiction Records in May, carried the Sunderland-raised singer-songwriter through a packed festival season including The Great Escape, BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend in his hometown, Isle of Wight Festival and Eden Sessions, where he played at the personal invitation of The Maccabees. At just 22, he's already opened for Elton John, who personally selected him to support the Farewell Yellow Brick Road shows at Hyde Park. This November, he swaps festival stages and major support slots for far smaller rooms, with dates at Clwb Ifor Bach, Cardiff and The Sugarmill, Stoke-on-Trent.
