Gryphon are a London-based band experimenting with prog-rock and folk-rock with a medieval and Renaissance flavour. Formed in 1972, the sextet now consists of Brian Gulland (bassoon, trombone, crumhorn, recorder, keys, vocals), Graeme Taylor (guitars, vocals), Dave Oberlé (drums, lead vocals), Rob Levy (bass), Andy Findon (winds and reeds) and Clare Taylor (violin, keys).
Having first split after five years, the band briefly reunited in 2009 before reforming in 2015. They have released seven studio albums, including Gryphon (1973), Midnight Mushrumps (1974), Red Queen to Gryphon Three (1974), Raindance (1975), Treason (1977), ReInvention (2018) and Get Out Of My Father's Car! (2020).
