Ultra-cool indie band Drowners are back and ready to rock. The band currently consists of drummer Daniel Jacobs, singer and guitarist Matt Hitt, fellow guitarist Jack Ridley and Erik Snyder on bass.

Taking their title from the Suede single of the same name, the band started when Welsh-born Hitt relocated to New York in order to pursue a career in modelling and began writing music. Recruiting the other band members, they released the EP Between Us Girls through Birthday Records in 2013. The EP included their signature song Long Hair.

They released their eponymously titled debut album in 2014 to considerable fanfare. Taking only three weeks to record, the album was released on Frenchkiss Records and secured the band a modest but fiercely loyal fanbase. They enlisted the aid of ace Hull drummer Joe Brodie (No Nothings) and embarked on a European tour supporting Cage The Elephant and hip Hull/New York band SKATERS.

Their brand new album On Desire is out now, also through Frenchkiss Records. The new record is being promoted by highly anticipated upcoming live shows.

Drowners tickets will become available at 09:00 on Wednesday 13th of July. Be sure to set your very own personal reminder through Gigantic.com

They will play at Leicester’s fantastic venue The Cookie on Wednesday 12th of October.
Gig tickets are always limited so book yours to avoid any disappointment.
