About Swim Deep

English indie-pop darlings Swim Deep formed in 2011 in Birmingham and are known for their melodic guitar-centric music that draws on influence from the 80s and 90s.

While the band formed in 2011, lead vocalist Austin "Ozzy" Williams is currently the only band member to remain in Swim Deep since their origins. Despite the changes in line-up, Swim Deep have earned a solid reputation as one of the most exciting indie-pop bands to come from the 2010s, and are credited as one of the defining artists of the Digbeth-based B-Town scene.

Swim Deep's debut album Where the Heaven Are We was released in 2013 to critical acclaim. This record and its follow up Mothers both charted on the Official UK Albums Chart, with Mothers being credited as an exciting and fresh predecessor.

The band have toured extensively over the last decade, and have supported huge acts including The 1975 and Two Door Cinema Club. As a headline act, they've performed in iconic venues across the UK such as O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire, London, and appeared at festivals such as Victorious Festival in Portsmouth and Truck Festival in Oxfordshire.
