Not keen on the first artist but the Skeletal family were brilliant and got the audience good no teady for The Mission who were amazing

As for the venue ive been a few times always good , typical sticky floor though πŸ˜‚

Shout out to the guys on the doors who rose to the occasion of the heightened security and were both firm and pleasant .

The Mission, O2 Academy Leicester, Leicester - 27th May 2017

This was a great venue, with good viability for the vertically challenged like myself. I saw the whole show with no issues at all. The Mission family are a courteous crowd and the level of respect for all was keenly felt. I was blown away by the quality of the sound produced during the gig and Wayne has if possible grown as a performer.
I was expecting the gig to be great but it was far better than that. It was amazing and is up there, in my top 5 gigs ever and I've been to a few over the last 30 years too!

The Mission, O2 Academy Liverpool, Liverpool - 19th May 2017

I have followed The Mission since 1986, they were an aspiration then and a continuing inspiration today. I put The Mission in the same categories as 'the chosen few' of 'classic' British rock bands that have endured creatively, as well as conquer the territories of the world where their searing sonic beauty is experienced. For those who consider The Mission as a pigeon holed genre, WAKE UP, listen to the crafted songs, both lyrically and musically. Their latest album is testament to the many years of constant evolution, everything that captivates about their music is framed within this beautiful produced album. All great artists offer a mirror to their audience, and Wayne's lyrics and vocal honesty certainly hit an introspective nerve with me at 50. I've not followed The Mission in an 'obsessive' way, as with my following The Beatles, it's the creativity that I find so intriguing. I'm glad for so many years I've 'kept the faith' because The Mission are tighter and more dynamic than I have ever experienced them before....and they look as if they are loving it. To use the Mission's strap line 'Keep the faith!' Paul Skellett

The Mission, O2 Academy Bournemouth, Bournemouth - 17th May 2017

The Mission are on top form now and are easily one of my favourite live bands. Always playing crowd favourites as well as new songs. The O2 Academy at Bournemouth suited the gig very well, hope to see them play there in the future.

Artist Bio

The Mission are the definitive gothic rock band. Dark, brooding and wildly exciting. The band found fame all over the globe after they quickly established themselves as one of the most exciting live bands of all time.

Formally known as The Sisterhood, the band was first started by front Wayne Hussey and bassist Craig Adams after leaving Sisters Of Mercy in 1986. The band’s original line up saw them join up with Simon Hinkler on guitar and drummer Mick Brown - now replaced by the superbly talent Mike Kelly.

The band remain highly influential having sold more than 4 million records including their nine main albums: God's Own Medicine, Children, Carved in Sand, Masque, Neverland, Blue, Aura, God is a Bullet, The Brightest Light and Another Fall From Grace which was released in 2016.
