British rock band combining flamboyant showmanship, towering riffs and timeless anthems into pure, unfiltered rock ‘n’ roll.
Led by singer, songwriter, and lead guitarist Justin Hawkins; The Darkness are the ultimate rock band. Joined by brother Dan Hawkins to share guitar duties, plus Frankie Poullain on bass and drummer Rufus Tiger Taylor – they exploded onto the scene with hit single "I Believe in a Thing Called Love" and rode high in the charts with singles "Love Is Only a Feeling", "One Way Ticket" and "Is It Just Me?". They also released awesome Christmas anthem "Christmas Time (Don't Let the Bells End)"
The Lowestoft-based band first formed in 2000 and have gone on to enjoy a career that has seen them sell 1.3 million copies of quadruple platinum debut album Permission To Land which dropped in 2003. Further studio albums include One Way Ticket to Hell... and Back (2005), Hot Cakes (2012), Last of Our Kind (2015), Pinewood Smile (2017), Easter Is Cancelled (2019) and Motorheart (2021).
