The Antlers are an American indie rock band formed in Brooklyn in 2006, led by Peter Silberman. Known for their emotive songwriting and atmospheric arrangements, the band first gained widespread acclaim with their breakthrough album Hospice (2009), a haunting concept record exploring love, loss, and terminal illness. Their delicate balance of vulnerability and sonic intensity, blending folk, electronic textures, and cinematic dynamics, quickly earned them a devoted international following.
Following Hospice, The Antlers released Burst Apart (2011) and Familiars (2014), expanding their sound while maintaining their introspective and emotionally resonant approach. They have performed at major UK festivals such as End of the Road and Latitude, as well as headline shows in London and other key cities. Across their career, The Antlers have been praised for creating music that is both intimate and expansive, offering listeners a deeply personal yet universal experience that continues to resonate across generations.
