Formed in 1988, Terrorvision, comprising Mark Yates, Leigh Marklew, Shutty, and Tony Wright, quickly made a name for themselves. Signed with EMI Records in 1991, on the strength of their demo ‘Pump Action Sunshine’ which featured their first top-30 hit 'My House', they embarked on a journey of relentless touring and recording.

Their debut album ‘Formaldehyde’ received positive reviews, and their schedule included tours supporting The Ramones and Motorhead. A highlight was opening for Def Leppard at the Sheffield Don Valley stadium performing in front of 40,000, a stark contrast to their impromptu pub gig the night before in front of 100 people.

By the end of 1993, the band had recorded their second album, ‘How to make friends and influence people’ with producer Gil Norton in New York City, which spawned five top-30 singles, establishing Terrorvision as mainstream artists. They appeared at major festivals, like Donington Monsters of Rock and Reading Festival, and won several Kerrang! Awards, several of which were lost in a drunken haze.

Their third album, ‘Regular Urban Survivors’ released in 1996, featured hits like ‘Perseverance’ and quickly went Gold. Despite Tony’s tequila-fueled, double ankle accident in Madrid while attempting to rearrange the Hard Rock Cafe’s iconic sign, the band continued touring, performing at Glastonbury and Reading in 1997.

Their fourth album, ‘Shaving Peaches’ saw a stylistic shift, working with producers such as Edwyn Collins and the Utah Saints. Despite mixed reviews, ‘Tequila’ from the album reached number 2 in the UK charts in 1999. Following a fallout with EMI, Terrorvision performed as an unsigned band at Reading/Leeds festivals and then signed with Papillon Records for the 2001 album, ‘Good to Go’, their last album for a decade, taking a hiatus after a sold-out farewell tour.

Reuniting periodically for gigs and tours, the band started working on new material in 2010, resulting in the album ‘Super Delux’. After an 18-month tour, the band members pursued solo projects, with much uncertainty whether Terrorvision would perform together again. However, in 2015, they reunited and went on the road again, celebrating the 25th anniversary of ‘How to make friends and influence people’ with a sold-out tour. In 2019, they released their first-ever Christmas single ‘Our Christmas Song’.

Working on new material, they performed an online live show in 2021. In 2023, they collaborated with Embrace guitarist Rick McNamara, producing a new album, with Chris Bussey on drums. ‘WE ARE NOT ROBOTS!’ mixed by Chris Sheldon (Foo Fighters, McFly) is a 37-minute riot of shiny pop hooks and in-yer-face hard rock that is set for release in 2024.
