Great venue, great evening
St Nicolas Chapel, King’s Lynn, Norfolk
The venue is a disused chapel and the original bench seating is used, however the way the seats were identified caused confusion.
The benches are in 4 banks and only the two outside banks were labelled alphabetically from the front with the identifying letter, the issue is that the inside banks do not align with the outside banks and were unmarked, which meant many people sat in what they thought were their seats only to be asked to move resulting in the show starting 15 minutes late.
A simple solution would to put the identification letter on both ends of each row.
Grumble over. The venue itself is very good, the acoustics as you would as brilliant, we were blessed with sunshine which flooded through the stained glass windows adding to the atmosphere. There is a cash only bar which caught a few people out.
I would certainly return to the venue, hoping the flaws have been addressed.
