Johnny MarrFever Dreams, Pt. 2

The second EP in a four-part project; guitar hero Johnny Marr is embarking on an ambitious creative endeavour which sees him present a intimate portrait of himself and explore exciting new musical avenues.

This edition includes the single “Tenement Time” which the former member of The Smiths explains is about “The experience of growing up in the inner city as a little kid, running around being quite wild. This idea of “forever, forever is mine” – it’s about running around Ardwick, bunking into warehouses and getting chased.

That was the first time I was self-consciously into culture: around people who wore certain clothes, and it was part of being a little Manchester boy, really. I have a real romanticism about that period of my life.

Marr joins new wave icons Blondie for their Against The Odds tour, which kicks off in April and sees both former songwriter from The Smiths plus Debby Harry and co. play hits from right across their illustrious careers – tickets on sale with Gigantic!
