The EFG London Jazz Festival is celebrating its twenty fourth year with a ten day celebration featuring the world’s premier jazz musicians including Dhafer Youssef, Madeleine Peyroux, Norma Winstone and many more.

This year sees EFG London Jazz Festival take place from 11th till the 20th of November across some of the capital’s finest venues such as Cadogan Hall, Royal Festival Hall and KOKO.

The renowned festival is the highlight for the true lover of jazz due to its extensive list of compelling talent which they continue to showcase year on year.

The extremely talented Tord Gustavsen is joined by sublime singer Simin Tander and the incredible jazz percussionist Jarle Vespestad. Pensive and brooding, their music blends Norwegian hymns with reflective jazz improvs.

The trio will play a matinee performance at 14:30 in the Milton Court Concert Hall on the Saturday 12th November.

Both extraordinary leaders in their own ensembles, audiences have been thrilled by the eloquence and precision exhibited in the performances of Joshua Redman / Brad Mehldau Duo. A truly exciting combination which makes for a very special event.

Their sets reveal something intimate between the two players that draws in the listeners creating a true connection with all present.

Robert Glasper Experiment will be performing at KOKO on Tuesday 15th of November. Famous for their electrifying performances that explore the whole spectrum of jazz and explore other genres as they jam their way through everything from soul, to hip hop and rock.

The band is led by Glasper has won two of his five Grammy nominations. A real highlight of the festival and should not be missed.

 

 

The London Jazz Festival will also feature the incredible talent of Christian Scott. Composer, producer and awarding winning musician, Scott has been declared as “the Architect of a new commercially viable fusion" and "Jazz's young style God” by JazzTimes magazine.

Other fantastic musicians participating in the landmark event include Lizz Wright, Jan Garbarek Group featuring Trilok Gurtu, The Bad Plus, Chris Potter, Lionel Loueke, Dave Holland, Eric Harland, Aziza, David Murray, Terri Lyne Carrington, Geri Allen – MCA Power Trio and Wayne Shorter Quartet.
