Little Quirks gig at the Greystones in Sheffield was one of the highlights of my life. I've been following them and their musical journey on social media for a long time. But I never thought I would get a chance to see them live in a million years. Last night was extraordinary; a small-ish venue, and I got to stand a few feet from the stage. The music was beautiful, and the complex harmonies of the lyrics added so much depth to the songs. Then there is the sheer boundless energy of the performance, which could lift a satellite into orbit. I'm still on a high this morning, reflecting on last night's performance. Until now, I've always said that the most memorable gig I attended was The Kinks performance in 1967/8. So I seemed to have moved on from Kinks in the 1960s to Little Quirks in the 2020s, which appears to be a good metaphor for my life story😉 A big shout-out to the stage management, Supporting Act, bar staff and organisers and my three good friends who I persuaded to come along with me, who all enjoyed the evening.
