Kabaka Pyramid, O2 Academy Islington, London - 22nd June 2017

The venue was perfect as it gave it an intimate feeling. The supporting acts were great, showcasing UK reggae talent. Kabaka Pyramid then built on the sizzling atmosphere and pretty much brought the house down in the end. Really really enjoyed it. Kabaka was fyah! Accurate

It was a great performance in front of an intimate crowd. Kabaka definitely had the crowd eating out of his hands. From what I could see, I would say that a great night was had by all. The warm up acts were great too. Not forgetting the amazing bands that accompanied the acts on stage.
Also a massive big-up to Java sound who has us rocking before the live performances.

Kabaka put on great show, the venue was small. intimate and well managed. The crowd were all in good spirits and I had a fantastic time! You should put on more reggae nights as we would def be there. Kabaka smashed it! Well done!

Keron Salmon adopted the working name of Kabaka Pyramid and has exploded onto the scene. His passion for music began at an early age when he would change the lyrics to popular songs and record his own version on his mother's tape recorder. What began as a humorous venture was actually a stepping-stone for the artist we know today. Reggae music has always been a strong influence on the Kingstonian lyricist with Sizzla Kalongi and Peter Tosh providing a great source of spiritual inspiration in his life. During high school Hip Hop music also captivated him; reciting his favorite Canibus lines constantly with Nas and Common serving as great examples of the success of conscious music. The influence of both genres can be easily detected as he seeks to find the perfect fusion of the two cultural expressions.
