Joe Danks is a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in rural Derbyshire. A dynamic and engaging performer, Joe has enthralled audiences across the UK and Europe with his irresistible energy and sensitive, skillful musicianship. Despite being best known as a serial collaborator (Old Spot, Ranagri, Jim Ghedi, Nick Jonah Davis, The Wilderness Yet, Seaspeak), behind the scenes Joe has been quietly cultivating solo material and indulging his passion for songcraft. 

Take Courage is Joe Danks' first foray into releasing original music under his own name for a decade. Four songs that are beautifully arranged and recorded, rendered through the lens of Scott Walker, The Divine Comedy, Villagers and Nick Drake. With the help of co-producer Ben Davies, Joe has spearheaded a singular vision to create an unusual, melodramatic record that he loves - a rare and wonderful thing. 

Joe will be joined by Andy Ruddy for all dates on the Take Courage tour. Andy is a singer-songwriter from Bradford, who has released a number of critically acclaimed albums showcasing his command of harmony and stop-you-in-your-tracks voice. His most recent album, Talk About The Weather (a collaboration with Serious Child), was released in 2021 and was nominated for Fatea Magazine’s album of the year.
