About Deerhoof

Deerhoof are the genre-defying experimental rockers who have been pushing musical boundaries for nearly three decades. Formed in San Francisco in 1994, the band—led by the unmistakable vocals of Satomi Matsuzaki alongside founding drummer Greg Saunier, guitarist John Dieterich, and guitarist Ed Rodriguez—have built a cult following with their unpredictable blend of noise rock, punk, pop, and avant-garde experimentation.

Their discography is a thrilling rollercoaster of sound, from the raw energy of Reveille (2002) to the infectious melodies of Milk Man (2004) and the eclectic brilliance of La Isla Bonita (2014). Deerhoof’s music is playful yet profound, constantly shifting between chaos and beauty with intricate rhythms, jagged guitars, and Matsuzaki’s whimsical, childlike vocals.

Renowned for their explosive live shows, Deerhoof continue to challenge conventions while remaining one of the most inventive and influential bands in underground music.
