Jazz Cafe and Somewhere Soul presents 8-piece French jazz-funk group, Cotonete.
Bringing their funky 70’s repertoire to London, the Paris-based band gained recognition for renditions of tracks from their contemporaries such as The JB’s, Deodato, Banda Black Rio and Herbie Hancock. Replicating the heavy grooves and sweaty jazz-funk with a nod to the Brazilian warmth.
More recently, the band released multiple EPs of original material – including a collaboration with master disco DJ/producer, Dimitri From Paris, breaking into worldwide charts and hailing the band as THE French jazz funk reference.
