Blind Yeo are a psychedelic folk collective from Falmouth, Cornwall, known for their unique blend of motorik rhythms, rave synths, and jagged electric guitar. The project began as a solo endeavour by Will Greenham during lockdown but quickly evolved into a dynamic ensemble, featuring a rotating cast of musicians, including Henry Greenham, Sam Pert, Anoushka Helm, Jake Sheridan, Phil Self, Phyllida Bluemel, and Dan Gilbert. Their sound merges folk influences with electronic experimentation, creating an immersive and hypnotic listening experience.
Blind Yeo first made waves with their debut EP, Echoes (2023), which featured tracks like "Echoes: Remember" and "Avalanche", gaining airplay on BBC Introducing, NTS, and Soho Radio. In 2024, they released Anam Cara, recorded in a solar-powered, off-grid studio in the Cornish woodlands, further pushing their genre-defying approach. Their live performances are known for their improvisational energy, having played festivals such as Lost Map’s Christmas Humbug (Edinburgh), Great Estate, and Tropical Pressure (Cornwall). Their upcoming compilation album, Echoes / Anam Cara, set for release in October 2024, will showcase the evolution of their sound, bringing together highlights from their two EPs.
