In a quite beautiful setting ,Bettye La Vette took to the stage after 5 minutes of intro to ' Things Have Changed ' Bettye , now 78 years, oozed style and grace and her voice was as good as ever. Her stories from her 61 year career captivated and each song just made you feel so very privileged to be at Cadogan Hall to witness a seasoned singer who really appreciated the audience and lives to entertain, which she did, not only with her voice but, with some slick dance moves. How Bettye has not been a bigger star is beyond belief and it was fantastic to be in the presence of a truly magnificent entertainer, a great musical life highlight for me, thank you Bettye.
