Beoga are a genre-blending folk band from County Antrim, Northern Ireland, widely regarded as one of the most innovative acts on the contemporary Irish music scene. Formed in 2002, their lineup features Damian McKee (accordion), Seán Óg Graham (accordion, guitar), Liam Bradley (piano), Eamon Murray (bodhrán), and Niamh Dunne (vocals, fiddle), who joined in 2005.
Their debut album A Lovely Madness introduced their vibrant take on traditional music, and subsequent releases like Mischief and The Incident drew critical acclaim – the latter even landing on the Grammy shortlist for Best Contemporary World Music Album. Beoga rose to international prominence in 2016 thanks to their collaboration with Ed Sheeran on his chart-topping album ÷ (Divide), co-writing and performing on "Galway Girl" and "Nancy Mulligan".
Never a band to stand still, their 2020 release Carousel marked a bold step into a more pop-focused direction, followed by the instrumental EP Breathe in 2021, which fused trad roots with contemporary production. Whether reimagining tradition or crafting festival-ready hits, Beoga continue to defy expectations and redefine Irish music for a new generation.
