Birmingham-born singer, songwriter and arranger Angeline Morrison has a sound rooted in wyrd folk, witch folk and traditional styles. Her songs explore themes of identity and race, seeking to reinsert black influence into the folk movement.
Now based in Cornwall, her debut album Are You Ready Cat? dropped in 2013 via Freestyle Records. She self-released her sophomore record The Brown Girl and Other Folk Songs in 2022. And her latest LP The Sorrow Songs: Folk Songs of Black British Experience came out in 2022 with Topic Records.
