Hip-hop legend Wyclef Jean is a multi-GRAMMY Award-winning artist, producer and songwriter whose genre-defying sound has shaped global music for more than three decades.
As a founding member of the groundbreaking Fugees, Wyclef Jean helped redefine hip-hop in the 1990s with the release of The Score (1996), one of the best-selling hip-hop albums of all time, which sold more than 18 million copies worldwide. Blending rap, reggae, soul and Caribbean influences, the group became a cultural phenomenon through timeless tracks including “Ready or Not”, “Fu-Gee-La” and their celebrated cover of “Killing Me Softly”.
Wyclef went on to build a hugely successful solo career, earning worldwide acclaim for hits including “Gone Till November”, “911” with Mary J. Blige, “Sweetest Girl (Dollar Bill)” and the global No. 1 smash “Hips Don’t Lie” with Shakira, one of the best-selling singles in music history. Renowned for his magnetic live performances, musical versatility and boundary-pushing collaborations, Wyclef Jean remains one of the most influential and innovative artists in modern music.
