Von Hertzen Brothers are a Finnish progressive rock band known for their ambitious, melodic, and cinematic sound. Formed in 2000 by brothers Mikko, Kie, and Jonne Von Hertzen, the band blends elements of classic rock, prog, and alternative, drawing comparisons to Rush, Pink Floyd, and Foo Fighters. Their breakthrough album, Approach (2006), topped the Finnish charts and earned them widespread acclaim, establishing them as one of Finland’s biggest rock exports.
Over the years, Von Hertzen Brothers have released critically praised albums such as Stars Aligned (2011), Nine Lives (2013), and Red Alert in the Blue Forest (2022). They have toured extensively across Europe and the UK, playing major festivals including Download Festival and Ramblin’ Man Fair, while also supporting bands like Opeth and Foo Fighters. Known for their soaring harmonies, intricate compositions, and electrifying live shows, the band continues to push the boundaries of modern progressive rock.
