In 2011, the pub lease was taken over by Paul Heaton and Zena Barrie and since then more emphasis has been placed on the pubs artistic endeavours. Regularly accommodating art exhibitions, fringe festivals, gigs, poetry night and all sorts of weird and wonderful types of entertainment. The Kings Arms has been used as a location for filming for TV productions such as Cracker, Fresh Meat, History channel Les Dawson Story, Hairy Bikers and several music videos.
The Kings Arms have several performance spaces and an upstairs bar which is used for theatre, comedy, gigs, film screenings, poetry nights and fairs. They are also a meeting place for lots of local groups including our own knitting group , the Kings Knitters, the Salford Friendly Anglers, The Manchester and Salford Ramblers, Rapper Dancers, Open Mic Nights and an Anarchist group.

Disabled Facilities
As a Grade II listed building, the venue's options for adaptations are limited, but are committed to improving accessibility wherever possible and welcome feedback.
Theatre: Access is via stairs only.
Pub & Garden: Wheelchair accessible. Please note some larger electronic wheelchairs may find certain doorways and hallways narrow. There is a small step at the main entrance and bar, though this does not usually cause issues.
Toilets: They do not have fully accessible toilets. However, a single-use toilet is available" please ask staff for assistance.
