The Original Comedy Keller will be hosted by Christian Reilly on May 20th with 4 fantastic support acts!

Christian Reilly

In 1999 Christian started playing guitar and singing for the American comic polymath Rich Hall. High points included winning the Perrier Award in 2001 for "Rich Hall is Otis Lee Crenshaw", being on subsequent CD and DVD releases, seeing the world, appearing on stage with Seinfeld star Michael Richards and getting on Late Night with Conan O' Brien. He was a regular on a BBC radio show with the Richard Herring, called That Was Then, This Is Now that was critically acclaimed and lasted for 3 series. This led to a key role in Herring’s groundbreaking podcast, As It Occurs To Me which ran for three years and won a Chortle award for best internet comedy and appearances on Radio 2’s ‘Jammin’. Now a solo headline act all over the globe, Christian uses his improvisations, sharp wit, youthful energy, guitar skills and vocal mimicry to target histrionic rock bands, musical theatre and morose indie musicians with his charming onstage confidence machine-gunning impossibly catchy tunes with hysterical lyrical content. His solo Edinburgh Festival Show, ‘Lost In Music’ was sold out, critically acclaimed and was the winner of the 'Spirit Of The Fringe' Award.

Dan Bland

Runner-up Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year 2010 and Manchester Comedy Festival award winner, Dan Bland brings a touch of darkness to the comedy circuit. His morbid disposition owes more to a grumpy undertaker than a genial stand-up comedian. But that funereal facade belies a devilish comic mind that has beguiled countless audiences. Delivering mirth with razor-sharp precision, deadpan Dan unfailingly ensures that he is the only person in the room to keep a straight face.

Edy Hurst

Edy is a nice boy doing the best with what he's got; a guitar, a loop pedal and a might-do attitude, combining short, punch-line filled musical comedy with a skewed oddball take on the world. With jokes that creep up on you, he is fast becoming an exciting new addition to the comedy circuit with a unique and intelligent take on stand music comedy expectations.

Nominated for the BBC New Comedy Award 2017, Finalist for the Great Yorkshire Fringe New Act 2017, Edy is Winner of Tickled Pig 2013, Runner up of Red in the Face New Act 2014, and Finalist in the Met Bury New Comedian of the year 2016.

Amy Gledhill
"Silly, vivacious and very funny" - Richard Herring
"One of the best adverts for modern comedy you could ever wish to see" - Ed Fest Magazine

Gledhill's stand up is a unique blend of confessional stories, intelligent observations and ridiculous, off-beat daftness.

Compere - Anthony J Brown
'Impressive gag count with an ever imaginative flair for word play' - The List
'Like a slow-burning explosive. His deliberate monotone delivery lulls you into a false sense of security, until you suddenly realise you’ve been hit in the face by a rapid-fire round of blistering wit' - Worksop Guardian
