The Libertines, Rock City, Nottingham - 12th December 2019

Was the best gig I’ve ever been to, amazing venue and incredible atmosphere, didn’t want the night to end. The band was on top form and worth every penny spent on tickets.

The Libertines, Times Square, Newcastle Upon Tyne - 3rd August 2017

Met Pete and Carl when in town and it was the best day of my life. Had a chat with them and got a picture with them both. The gig was amazing and played all my fave songs. I've followed them for years and I would say apart from the first time I saw them, this gig was the best. Fantastic performance in a great venue.

The off the stage headlines over the years have got in the way of what still is the best live band we have.
From song one to the encore it was almost two hours of genius. My wife turned up sceptical and left converted.

Artist Bio

There are few bands that truly can be called iconic; The Libertines led the way for the revival of British rock in the new century and brought about a new romantic British revolution.

We are as excited as the fans to be able to offer The Libertines tickets, but as the demand keeps growing you will need to act fast and book yours as early as possible to avoid being left disappointed. Fortunately, making your booking is easy as you can select through our huge array of gig tickets at home or on the go whilst using your tablet, smartphone or computer 24/7 at home or on the go.

The likely lads burst onto the scene with the release of The Libertines debut album Up The Bracket in 2002. Quickly established as a modern classic, the record encapsulated the wild nature of a band that embraced all aspects of the rock and roll lifestyle. But the candle that burns twice as bright burns for half as long, and as the pressure rose from the celebrity glare and internal strife the band were already under great strain by the release of second album The Libertines. Following time served in prison, Doherty would be expelled from the band who would attempt to carry on only to split in 2004.

This forced exile would lead to Doherty forming a new group of urban urchins; Babyshambles. They would continue to ride a wave of tabloid controversy and release three LPs; Down In Albion, Shotter’s Nation and most recently Sequel To The Prequel. Following the collapse of The Libertines, Barât rallied drummer Powell and united with guitarist Anthony Rossomando and Didz Hammond on bass to form Dirty Pretty Things in 2005. A band which would channel the energy of the Libs into something more sustainable and hopefully avoid some of the self-destructive chaos. Dirty Pretty Things released the albums Waterloo To Anywhere and Romance At Short Notice.

After a long time apart the hate began to wane and longing set it. Following six long years, the cries of devoted fans of The Libertines were answered when Doherty and Barât were able to reconcile their differences and became united once again. They celebrated their reformation by headlining Leeds and Reading Festivals then subsequently released their latest album There Are No Innocent Bystanders.

The Libertines concert tickets are always limited and will sell out quickly for this iconic band, so don’t delay and get yours before they are gone. For the best gig ticket experience, still with Gigantic.
