Sunflower Thieves are a Leeds-based indie-folk duo formed by lifelong friends Amy Illingworth and Lily Sturt-Bolshaw. Their music is rooted in warm harmonies, gentle acoustic textures and reflective songwriting that feels intimate yet widely resonant. Their debut EP Someone to Be There (2021) features songs including “Don’t Mind the Weather” and “Two Halves”, both of which highlight their ability to blend delicate melodies with emotionally rich, heartfelt storytelling.
Their live performances have taken them to festivals across the UK, including Live at Leeds and Deer Shed Festival, where their honest, down-to-earth presence has earned them a growing and devoted audience. With a creative bond shaped by years of friendship, the duo continue to develop a sound that balances vulnerability with quiet strength, positioning them as a distinctive and quietly powerful voice in the indie-folk landscape.
