Hit indie band Starsailor are back! Having originally entered into a hiatus, they have now made their return to once again captivate audiences. The members include drummer Ben Byrne, guitarist James Walsh providing vocals, Barry Westhead on keys with James Stelfox playing bass.

The band came to the fore at the post Britpop era. Originally titled Waterface, the band formed in 1999 and changed their name to the now familiar moniker which was inspired by the 1970 Tim Buckley album of the same title. By 2000 they were subject to glowing reviews from the likes of NME which placed them in a bidding war resulting in a lucrative contract with EMI.

Their debut album Love Is Here was released in 2001. The Platinum selling album hit #2 in the UK album charts and was ranked by both Q and NME as one of the best albums of the year. The band performed at prominent festivals and enjoyed supporting the likes of Doves and Manic Street Preachers. Second album Silence Is Easy again hit #2 upon release in 2003 and were followed by highly successful albums On The Outside (2005) and All The Plains (2009). Following the release of their last album, they entered a hiatus which ended in 2014.

Starsailor tickets will be released very soon. Coming on sale at 09:00 on Friday 7h of July, you can set a personal reminder through Gigantic so you are ready for their release to arrive via text message or email.

Catch them when they hit the O2 Institute2 Birmingham and Concorde 2 at Brighton during October, 2017.
