Embrace, The Venue, Derby - 8th November 2017

Embrace played all their hits as well as a couple of new songs in this intimate venue. Their energy was fantastic, each song was fantastically. We certainly weren’t disappointed and we’re looking forward to hearing the new album when it comes out.

First of all, The Venue is a fab place to get close to your fave bands - cosy, lively atmosphere and very atmospheric. Second time I’ve seen Embrace in a year and they delivered their fab anthems brilliantly again - keep it up, guys, I’m amazed you’re not up there with the likes of Coldplay because you are in the same league.

Love 'The Venue' - small space but plenty of atmosphere especially when you get a band, like Embrace, who connect with the audience. From the first song, to the last they gave it all and was left wondering why this band have never had the success they really deserve. I've got a number of the songs/CDs but sound much better live, if you get the chance, make the effort and go see them, you won't be disappointed......

Packed show in a small compact club. Really intimate atmosphere. Embrace were superb and the songs were great. Danny was great and showed real charisma. He interacted with the audience on all the songs and got them sings along, fantastic experience.

We had a great night at the venue derby with embrace. The band were excellent & played all their big hits & famous songs. It's the 1st time we'd seen them for 10 years & it was well worth the wait !!! Can't wait to were them on the next tour

Anthemic alternative rock band Embrace are back to end the year with a bang with an amazing tour. The Yorkshire lads continue to be an essential band armed with a huge back catalogue of compelling songs which endure as timeless classics whilst continuing to write ever greater songs.

Embrace tickets will soon be available through Gigantic for their exciting December tour. See them headline at Waterfront in Norwich, Hull University, Foundry at Sheffield, Liverpool’s Olympia, Portsmouth Pyramid Centre and The Copper Rooms at the University of Warwick. They are launched at 09:00 on Friday 30th of September and are expected to sell quickly. Set your very own personal reminder to arrive via text message or email so you are ready for their release.

Hailing from Bailiff Bridge, the band first began when McNamara brothers Richard and Danny recruited fellow members Steve Firth, Mike Heaton and Mickey Dale. They would begin by rehearsing at the bottom of a garden with Danny using a broomstick in place of a mic.

They began to record demos, the first of which was done at a house in the cool but ramshackle Hyde Park area of Leeds and then another three tracks recorded at a studio in nearby Huddersfield. The two demos plus a track included on Leeds fanzine were enough to start creating a buzz across their home county of Yorkshire.

Their break came with the release of the single All You Good Good People through indie label Fierce Panda. The subsequent airplay created a demand which resulted in further pressings sending the single to #8 in the charts. It featured on the debut album The Good Will Out which sent them to #1. It has now been certified Platinum.

Their continued high output has seen them enjoy international commercial success and includes Drawn From Memory, If You’ve Never Been, Out Of Nothing, This New Day and their most recent eponymously titled release Embrace.

Given that they are such a cult band Embrace concert tickets will not last long so book yours early. For the best experience buying gig tickets, stick with Gigantic!
