Speed are an Australian hardcore punk band from Sydney, formed in (2019) and known for their uncompromising sound and fierce sense of identity. The band consists of lead vocalist Jem Siow, guitarists Joshua Clayton and Dennis Vichidvongsa, bassist Aaron Siow and drummer Kane Vardon. Rooted firmly in hardcore tradition, their music is direct, heavy and confrontational, driven by breakdowns, groove-laden riffs and vocals that channel urgency, conviction and unity.
Through relentless touring and visceral live performances, Speed have built a reputation as one of the most vital forces in modern hardcore. Their shows are defined by intensity and community, with a strong emphasis on authenticity and shared energy between band and audience. Staying true to the DIY ethos that underpins hardcore punk, Speed continue to represent Sydney’s scene on a global stage, delivering music that is as physical and cathartic as it is purposeful.
