Born in Troy, New York, in 1975, Rowe began his musical journey early, receiving a bass guitar at age 12 and later teaching himself guitar. His first song, “Turtle,” was written at 18, inspired by his friend Jeanne French. Rowe’s sound blends folk, alternative, and blues influences, drawing comparisons to artists like Van Morrison and Johnny Cash.
Over his career, Rowe has released several albums, including Magic (2011), The Salesman and the Shark (2012), Madman (2014), New Lore (2017), and The Darkness Dressed in Colored Lights (2021). His song “To Leave Something Behind” was featured in the 2016 film The Accountant and has garnered millions of streams.
