Redwood are an alternative rock quintet from Hertfordshire, UK, who have been making their mark on the indie scene since their early EP Blood Moon (2016). Known for their blend of shoegaze, emo, post-rock and indie, the band pairs sweeping guitars with emotive, powerful vocals and dramatic dynamics. Their sound weaves together subtle fragility and explosive energy, with lyrics often meditating on nostalgia, relationships and the passing of time.
In 2020 Redwood announced their debut album Beside A Shallow Sun (2020), featuring the single “Ate My Weight,” which became a standout track for its visceral chorus and soaring melodic reaches. They’ve since built a reputation for authentic songwriting and immersive live shows across the UK, growing a devoted following who value both their anthemic intensity and emotional depth.
