Fusing elements of glam rock, grunge and no wave, androgynous alt-rock band Placebo exploded in the 90s thanks to their raw sound and sexually provocative lyrics. Including founding members Brian Molko (vocals, guitar) and Stefan Olsdal (bass, guitar); the band formed in 1994 and shot to fame with their adrenaline-charged anthem "Nancy Boy". They have also broken the Top 10 with singles "Pure Morning" and "You Don't Care About Us".
Placebo have reached platinum sales with their self-titled debut album released in 1996, plus Without You I'm Nothing (1998), Sleeping with Ghosts (2003) and Meds (2006). They have released eight albums in total, including their latest title Never Let Me Go (2022).
