Renowned songwriter Richard Ashcroft is rightly recognised as one of the greatest living talents in British pop music today! Rising to fame as leader of indie icons The Verve, Richard wrote masterpiece album Urban Hymns which became a defining Britpop record. Featuring such colossal anthems as the Grammy-nominated "Bitter Sweet Symphony", "Lucky Man" and No. 1 smash hit "The Drugs Don't Work", it would see Ashcroft win his first Ivor Novello Award and many other accolades.
Ashcroft began performing as a solo artist after The Verve first split in 1999, soon shooting high into the charts with single "A Song for the Lovers" as featured on his platinum selling No. 1 album Alone With Everybody.
Releasing a further five albums, including platinum record Keys to the World and gold certified Human Conditions, Ashcroft continues to enjoy the dedicated support of his legion of fans who pack every show. He also garners the respect of peers and critics alike, earning a second Ivor Novello for Outstanding Contribution to British Music in 2019.

It’s going to be a big summer for Richard Ashcroft fans! First, you can see him perform in the stunning setting of Delamere Forest on Sunday 18th of June. Ran by Forestry Live, you can enjoy all your favourite songs whilst helping fund conservation projects in aid of British wildlife.
Then, Saturday 22nd of July sees Richard takeover the Englefield House. Joined by Ocean Colour Scene and The Sherlocks playing support, look forward to an epic show held at the magnificent Elizabethan grounds.
