Ady Suleiman is the bright new thing we’ve been looking for. Soulful, witty and fresh his music hints at true brilliance with a superb vocal talent that is surely the envy of all that hear it. He’s able to command a sweet voice that sounds straight out of the sixties and then instantly switch to grime-esque grit and back again in a single song. Drawing on many influences ranging from R&B, hip hop to reggae his songs speaks of a romance that is difficult, certainly not perfect which makes it feel so much more real.

The young lad from Grantham has just signed a deal with Sony to distribute his music through his very own label Pemba Records. With so much talent, drive and ambition he looks set for very big things and we eagerly await his upcoming debut album.

For those of you enjoying this new wave of psyche bands definitely check out Methyl Ethel. The Australian band’s music may initially appear to be bright but the shimmering sound belies the real ideas at play and closer listening reveals lyrics that speak of neurosis and paranoia.

Sublime tracks like the delicate song Rogue and the patient building single Idée Fixe make their new debut album Oh Inhuman Spectacle a truly enthralling album to listen to. With the liberal use of treble and delay, a truly alternative feel yet with catchy pop sensibilities, the band are a perfect new acquisition for indie label 4AD whose roster also includes Pixies, Daughter and The Big Pink.

The band will be playing in the UK this summer and tickets will go on sale Friday 10th of June at 10:00. You can set a reminder by clicking the link below.

KETO are celebrating the launch of their new EP What We Do and are extending the invitation to the party with you all. The beguiling folk outfit produce some of the most original music listeners have heard for years.

The band is led by Leah Sinead whose haunting vocals entice the listener into an uncertain world of dreamscapes and wonder. Resplendent yet tinged with melancholy, their songs possess a longing for somewhere that it may not be entirely safe to visit and yet sounds so inviting.

The new EP is well produced and has the satisfying feel of a completed piece of work due to its complicated lyrics and well written tracks making it destined be a cherished collector’s item when the band reach the heights they deserve.
